Idea Management
All projects start with an idea, but not all ideas become projects.  PD-Trak includes a system for capturing new project ideas which can then be ranked by the management team so only the best ideas are converted into projects. 
 
All users of PD-Trak can be given access to submit their ideas for new projects.  This includes the ability to upload documents that may have been created in support of the idea.  Managers can then access the list of submitted ideas by clicking on the Idea Management button on the main page:
 
 
The idea list includes a scoring section that managers can use to score and prioritize the ideas.  The scoring criteria and weighting system can be adjusted based on the philosophy of your management team:



Clicking on the folder icon in the far left column allows uploaded documents to be accessed as well as any standard templates that have been created for documenting ideas.  One such document is the Idea Brief which has the same format as the Project Brief as used in a Project File.
